Edmonton Public Schools is proud to welcome international students to our exceptional network of schools through our International Student Program. With over 25 years of experience serving international students from around the world, and with 214 schools serving over 120,000 students, we offer not only the highest standards of academic excellence but also over 100 different complementary courses including fine arts, second languages, sports, technical programs, and technology studies which help our international students receive a well rounded education. Additional academic opportunities such as our Advanced Placement program further help to prepare our international students for their post secondary education adventures. Students may receive credits for exceptional performance in this program that can be applied towards entry into post-secondary institutions worldwide.International students who come to study with Edmonton Public Schools are also provided with English language learning opportunities while being fully integrated with fellow Canadian students in a safe, friendly, multicultural environment. English as a Second Language (ESL) support is available at all levels; communication skills through reading, writing, listening and speaking are emphasized.
